Our client is a city based asset manager, who manage a sizeable real estate portfolio. A new role exists for an accountant to join a close-knit team. Real Estate experience is not a requirement for this role so it represents a good opportunity to gain this experience on your CV.

The Role:

  • You will have responsibility for the financial, management and performance reporting for a UK property unit trust as well as other joint ventures. Tasks will include:
  • Dealing with investor queries
  • Calculating quarterly distribution payments
  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts and financial analysis
  • Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements and control of the year-end audit process
  • Account for acquisitions and disposals including the calculation of performance fees
  • Cash management including monitoring of liquidity and regular capital calls and distributions

Requirements:

  • You must have excellent accounts preparation experience
  • This will have been gained through working at a mid-size practice firm or a smaller investment management/real estate business
  • You are likely to be a newly/recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
