Our client is a very well established, mid-sized investment management business in the City. Multi-strategy approach and hugely successful. This opportunity sits in their Finance team and will afford someone a very broad role covering financial/statutory reporting, regulatory reporting, treasury and other financial control duties. An ACA qualified is preferred, either coming straight out of practice or from the financial services industry.

This opportunity sits in their Finance team and will afford someone a very broad role covering financial/statutory reporting, regulatory reporting, treasury and other financial control duties. An ACA qualified is preferred, either coming straight out of practice or from the financial services industry.

The Role:

  • Maintenance of ledgers for designated entities.
  • Accurate and timely posting of journals (monthly journals and ad hoc journals requested by management).
  • Accurate and timely presentation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Accurate and timely preparation of group consolidation.
  • Accurate and timely presentation of financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Maintaining and implementing effective accounting procedures and controls.
  • Communicate with the business unit heads to improve relations and add value to their business from a finance perspective.
  • The successful and timely delivery of information to auditors, including statutory accounts and audit packs.
  • Preparation of half yearly regulatory returns for assigned entities.

Requirements:

  • You will be a fully qualified accountant
  • Preference for an ACA qualified, with demonstrable experience/exposure to technical accounting (FRS/IFRS)
  • Experience can be gained out of accounting practice or from a financial services business
  • Sound financial reporting experience, gained from a regulated environment
  • Able to work as part of a team with good all-round communication skills
