We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team in London on a 14 month contract.

Wells Fargo provides middle market, large corporate and financial institution customers with a range of international solutions, including treasury management, credit, payments, financing, foreign exchange, and trade services. Wells Fargo operates from 42 countries and territories outside of the U.S., including branches in Ireland, Beijing, Cayman Islands, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Hong Kong, London and Seoul.


Working within the EMEA financial control and reporting team, this role will have responsibility for the performance of a range of financial control and reporting tasks.
 
The financial control and reporting tasks include responsibility for 1) Daily FX reporting, and 2) Asset and Liability Committee reporting; and 3) Business Line reporting.
 
This role is best suited to candidates with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, the ability to pick up concepts quickly and the desire to learn in a fast moving environment. 
 

•Performance of financial control and reporting tasks, including:
◦Entity Level Control and Reporting
◦Ensure accurate books and records in compliance with relevant GAAP; preparation of the management and statutory accounts and assisting with ad hoc queries.
◾Raise journals / perform established control tasks to evidence integrity of books and records, prepare management accounts and statutory financial statements.
◾Identification of control weaknesses; proposal and implementation of remediating controls.
◾Prepare detailed Business Line analysis of the loan book including interest and fees on a deal by deal basis.
◦Daily FX Reporting
◾This will include pulling reports from systems not already feeding the PRM hedging tool.
◦Asset & Liability Committee:
◾Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly slides setting out the Asset and Liabilities position of the Business Lines operating out of the London Branch
◦Business Line Contact
◾Act as Financial Control liaison to Business Lines, providing them with entity level reporting relating to their Business Line
◦ Support other ad hoc finance tasks as required
