A leading integrated wealth management and professional services group is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team.


Purpose of Role
To be a key part of the Management Accounting team, with a focus on external reporting, such as tax and audit. This role also supports the month-end process and will be a key component to the control framework.
Responsibilities


  • Fundamental understanding of the various tax returns within the group. This will include the need to liaise with the Tax team and colleagues across Finance.

  • Assist with the input and reconciliations within AlphaVAT for MTD purposes.

  • Utilising various systems, including NetSuite and TM1 to aid the VAT return process.

  • Challenge outdated and convoluted processes and recommend and implement process improvements .

  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all outstanding items are cleared and corrective actions undertaken. To also perform system reconciliations to GL, ensuring no breaks.

  • Keep up to date with the group structures and hierarchies i.e. entities, accounts, CC's and ensure revenues are booked appropriately.

  • Provide financial information when required to the tax team for tax computations and understand the tax implications of what is being booked.

  • Calculating partners interest and accrual for the Tax team .

  • Running the central cost allocations process and booking PI provisions & prepayments.

  • PSA analysis + calculation and liaison with the Tax team.

  • Adhoc analysis/info for the business (various e.g. Professional Services/Regulatory team/External Auditors)
  • Raising manual invoices for the Financial Services division.


Education and Qualifications

  • ?????ACA/CIMA/ACCA


Experience and Skills

  • Financial Services sector experience preferred

  • NetSuite/TM1 experience desirable

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Self?starter able to pick up information and concepts quickly and work with little supervision

  • Need to enjoy working in a strong team , utilising support from colleagues when necessary and to strive for positive outcomes
