A large and diversified global asset manager is urgently looking to hire a corporate accountant to its London office to act as a junior Financial Controller overseeing their management company entities.

The firm are a highly acquisitive business who have expanded at breakneck speed into the UK and Europe with an impressive portfolio of assets and a further fund raise well underway. They invest across private equity and real estate predominantly with a pan European focus and around 70 people in their London office.

The role would suit an experienced finance manager or senior accountant with a blend of financial and management accounting experience who is working for a financial services company - preferably a smaller fund manager, private equity house or property/real estate funds firm. You will be the sole accountant on the corporate side overseeing all reporting and analysis for their European entities (which is outsourced to various third parties) as well as responsibility for the production of all UK management and financial accounts. Whilst the role is reasonably hands on, you’ll also have the opportunity to improve processes, work on a number of different projects and present the quarterly management accounts to head office as well as key stakeholders. This is a fast paced and highly entrepreneurial working environment suited to someone who enjoys being busy and challenged, with the chance to talk to the business and perfect your business partnering experience.

We’re keen to speak to people who are qualified accountants with roughly 5 years PQE in a similar financial and management accounting role. Financial services and/or funds management experience would be preferred and you'll need to be happy and confident in an autonomous role that would report into the FD. The culture of the firm is a huge selling point and they’re immensely proud of their down to earth, sociable and collegiate working environment that maintains a collective sense of fun.

Salary is £70-80,000 base (DOE) plus benefits and a target bonus of 25-30%.
