A leading Asset Manager based in London are looking to hire their next Finance Director. You must be 10 years post qualified (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA etc) You ideally must have property / real estate / asset management background Salary is £115-140k as base + package

Responsibilities:

The role will have the overall responsibility for managing all aspects of a growing portfolio of the clients and associated activities:

Fund / Client Accounting & Finance:

Provide full management leadership and oversight for a team that is responsible for the execution of:

  • • Client financial statements and reporting (internal & external);
  • • Transaction Support – acquisitions & dispositions, full Due Diligence and deal structuring
  • • Performance measurement and Fund analysis;
  • • Third Party Debt compliance;
  • • Off shore fund management;
  • • Intercompany financing;
  • • Internal controls and risk management;
  • • Cash management including capital calls and distributions;
  • • Audit, financial, tax and regulatory reporting & compliance;
  • • Accountable also to Fund Managers, Clients / Investors and other stakeholders.

 

Finance and Product Development:

  • • Full Transaction Support; Integration of property transactions, debt execution and associated structures into existing operations; Direct Contribution to New Product Structuring (tax, debt, FX, regulatory);
  • • Review of Fund Documentation, Investment Management Agreements and fund structures from an A&F and operational perspective with consequent advice & input to Legal and Compliance Team and European Tax Director;
  • • Assistance in /completion of third-party senior debt and/or subscription lines;

 

Legal / Accounting / Tax reviews and taking lead on answering investor & client questions; Financial Forecasting

Business Operations:

The successful candidate will have management responsibility for certain business operations:

  • • Assisting Head of UK Finance in strategic reviews of the UK business; developing and analysing new strategic initiatives around IT; outsourcing; developing business metrics to contribute to decisions & improved profit margins;
  • • Implement a strategic staffing and development plan that reflects the growth and complexity of the business.

 

Other

  • • Actively working with the European Tax Director; European Legal Counsel; European Head of Compliance; and, above all, with UK Fund Managers, Asset Managers and other stakeholders in supporting the business and being an excellent advocate for A&F’s contribution to the business;
  • • Development and adoption of best practices (importing & exporting pan-Europe and global best practice) within the firm
