Role Purpose

To assist in the collation of Cost, FTE and other MI metrics for all Cross Products, Regulatory Control and Other & Management, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of reports to the Management Team and Front Office colleagues with in depth commentary to help understand cost and cost drivers. Responsible for the continuous development of MI quality and transparency, providing commercial, value-add analysis to support business partnering.

To take responsibility for the accurate and timely submission of the Annual Operating Plan and re-forecasting exercises for Cross Products, Regulatory Control and Other & Management.

Play a crucial role in the implementation of an activity based costing model for Operations

To review and document intergroup charges

Working closely with Operations Teams globally and other incumbent departments, to re-engineer and standardize processes where appropriate; and responsible for Satellite Site investigations.

Major Challenges

  • The individual will need to deliver high quality MI to senior GM Operations management and front office colleagues, and be confident in explaining the MI and articulating key messages at these levels
  • The individual will need to be able to multi-task and re-prioritize activities at short notice
  • The individual will be expected to continuously seek to improve data quality and processes, driving forward enhancements whilst maintaining business as usual MI delivery
  • To assist in identifying and implementing ways for Operations to reduce costs on an ongoing basis

Knowledge & Experience

  • Ideally be educated to degree level
  • CIMA accounting qualification.
  • The role requires extensive understanding of Cost Management processes, global cost allocations methodologies, accounting technical architectures, and Global Markets businesses/products.
  • Extensive proven experience within an Accounting / MI environment, with proven track record of process improvement, direct involvement in project-related tasks and sound knowledge of all roles and processes within the Cost Management area.
