My client, an Investment Bank in London is looking to hire an experienced Fidessa Business Analyst to join their team, ensuring that market connectivity projects are established to cover changes required by the anticipated Exchange Driven Changes, who has in depth experience on the Fidessa platform and specifically EMMA.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that market connectivity projects are established to cover changes required by the anticipated Exchange Driven Changes (EDC)
  • Work closely with stakeholders – compliance, business users, exchanges and vendors to ensure that EDC project plans are sufficiently detailed and that timetables are appropriate
  • Create appropriate documentation and procedures to manage projects efficiently
  • Ensure all project deliverables are clearly defined and tracked to completion
  • Exposing dependencies, risks and issues associated with plans, leading efforts to resolve these and holding individuals accountable for resolutions
  • Briefing management on progress against the delivery plans
  • Drive the weekly planning/reporting cycle including clear reporting of progress towards deliverables and features
  • Facilitate and lead discussions
  • Identify and resolve key dependencies

Skills

  • Good knowledge of European Cash and Equity Derivatives market connectivity
  • Good knowledge of European Market Structure
  • Good understanding of the latest regulatory landscape, specially MiFID II
  • In depth experience on the Fidessa platform and specifically EMMA
  • Prior development experience on Fidessa would be beneficial
  • Should be comfortable logging on to Fidessa servers, accessing and understanding Fidessa server scripts and files
  • Experience building project plans; risk, issues, assumptions and dependency logs and coordinating with multiple work streams to understand dependencies and assess impact on schedules
  • Experience of owning the end-to-end delivery of projects covering all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience of interfacing with senior management
  • Ability to multi-task across a large and complex project structure
  • Excellent organisation, planning and scheduling skill
