Nomura seeks to recruit an Analyst level professional to work on the firm's FX Corporates Sales team.

Department overview:

Nomura's Global Markets Division handles client transactions for financial institutions, corporates, governments and investment funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in fixed income and equity securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products. Role description:

  • Working within the Fixed Income Division with a focus on FX corporates in the EMEA region.
  • Develop fundamental knowledge of FX product knowledge, along with general understanding of other asset classes.
  • Develop fundamental knowledge and understanding of FX Hedging Solutions used by corporates to manage short and long term underlying currency risk exposures.
  • Good organizational and planning skills - can manage the coordination of multiple activities working to specific deadlines
  • Preparing client presentations and trade ideas both internally and externally.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

  • Previous experience in a related business.
  • Previous experience in FX would be a would be a preference, but is not a prerequisite
  • Willingness to learn fast
  • Be analytical in assessing FX hedging ideas
  • Interact efficiently with other areas in GM
