  • Pay rate: GBP 550/day
  • Engagement type: PAYE (inside IR35)
  • Duration: 6 months - potential to extend
  • Work pattern: Hybrid (50%-50%)

 

The Business Testing Analyst role in Regulatory Operations is a Hybrid Project Manager / Business Analyst role, supporting Commodities Business. Responsible for the role out of deliverables within a ringfenced operations testing team to support the business initiatives without impacting the separate regulatory programmes.

The position is an excellent opportunity for candidates with extensive Regulatory experience who wish to apply their knowledge to ensure all new business is fully compliant which supports the improvements of the regulatory controls and data quality to reduce the current Transaction Reporting Operational Risk. The candidate should have detailed regulatory and product knowledge with excellent communication skills, the ability to cultivate strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the Bank.

 

Your tasks will be:

 

  • Analysing the requirement from business and ascertain the impact to various reporting regimes
  • Documenting Business Requirements Document for technology development considering the following:
    • Business Model
    • Booking model
    • Systems that are impacted by the change
    • Regulatory reporting regimes
  • Co-ordinating with business and Reg Tech to explain the BRD
  • Drafting a plan for technology implementation after consultation with all the stakeholders
  • Co-ordinating with technology and business on the testing plan including
    • Test scenarios
    • Booking test trades
  • Performing high-level analysis on test results on exceptions
  • Co-ordinating with regime managers on pre-development and post development sign off
  • Setting up regular meetings with technology, business and providing status update
  • Co-ordinating with Compliance where required to document compliance interpretation
  • Setting up working groups or stakeholder meetings for speedy resolution of issues

 

We're after applicants experienced in:

 

  • Producing test scripts and co-ordination / participation in testing activities with Operations and Technology
  • Building out a test scenario library for ease and comprehensiveness of future use
  • Business analysis of breaks and identification of resolution
  • Understanding and challenge of functional specifications
  • UAT/UVT and new business testing
  • Experience with MIFID, Dodd Frank
  • Wide product knowledge and operational understanding required
  • Regulatory knowledge and understanding of different regimes useful
  • Producing reports for testing outcomes and results
  • Working with Technology, Compliance, COO, Operations groups and various Business units to assist change programs and issue resolution
  • Taking an active role in Agile Development sprints
  • Project Management Certificate
  • Providing ideas to drive remediation, processing changes and controlling improvements to close gaps and mitigate risk
  • Ensuring cascade of impact of changes to Operations teams; suggesting improvements to current processes, procedures and reports including automation of manual processes
