BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW

1) Description of business area - business unit, size of team, global presence, asset classes covered, user base
The Futures Technology team delivers execution capabilities for our clients in global listed derivative Markets.
Connectivity team specifically focuses on the integration of FIX clients. This involves managing the onboarding process of electronic trading applications to the clients trading systems; testing and certifying new client connections; provisioning connectivity and FIX vendor access and providing expertise on any FIX related inquiries to the relevant business/application teams.

Goldman Sachs International - FICC / Futures Technology - Client On-Boarding
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversight of on-boarding function for Futures Globally,
  • Partnering with technology and business to evolve and improve our infrastructure and tooling to improve the efficiency and service level of our on-boarding process.
  • Role involves ownership for onboarding FIX clients trading electronically with the firm's electronic products.
  • Provide new clients with a single point of access during the onboard process.
  • Prioritize the client setup workflow and go-lives with the guidance of the business teams.
Required
  • Experienced FIX analyst/Engineer with proven track record in the onboarding of electronic clients via FIX.
  • FIX protocol (all versions)
  • Strong Business/Markets knowledge in Equities, Futures, Options and Spreads.
  • Ability to deliver in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Confident, presentable, highly motivated with good team working skills
Preferred
  • Connectivity, Networks and TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPN
  • UNIX/Linux with Shell navigation
  • SQL and databases
