The Role:

To provide support to Head of Business Management, Investments and the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in delivering the services of the Investment Engine.

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

• Assist the CIO and Head of Business Management in implementing the strategy and vision for the Investment Engine
• Assist the CIO and Head of Business Management in reporting to: M&G Prudential Boards, Risk and Audit Committees and regulators as required
• Analyse and interpret complex situations and propose appropriate courses of action
• Provide support to the CIO and Head of Business Management on Committee and Board level matters.
• Support the Head of Business Management and the Investment leadership team in responding to emerging regulatory/risk issues.
• Support the Head of Business Management with the coordination and management of internal (and external) communications.
• Leading / coordinating projects for the Head of Business Management and CIO.
• Support the Head of Business Management and CIO by co-ordinating, drafting and reviewing ad-hoc reports.
• Develop positive and professional working relationships within the Investment leadership team and the investment engine as a whole.
• Build and maintain an effective cross departmental internal network to facilitate a deep understanding of the business.
• Assist in determining the necessary staffing requirements and any team structure changes across the Investment engine.

You will have:

We are looking for you to have experience of working in the asset management industry along with experience of building relationships and communicating with senior management/executives.

Good financial literacy / commercial acumen is essential and a deep understanding of finance or financial services along with a financial qualification is desirable along with being degree educated.

• Relationship building - able to quickly build and maintain successful relationships at all levels across M&G Prudential.
• Self-starter, excellent under pressure, results focused - able to identify opportunities and take initiative and respond rapidly and dynamically to urgent business priorities that arise on an ad-hoc basis - delivering on time and according to brief
• Ability to sift through and interpret management information to produce required data/analysis and present in a clear manner
• Excellent communication skills - effective and persuasive communicator (both written and verbal) with ability to operate in and communicate at all levels in the organisation.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands
• Strong presentation skills and gravitas are essential.
• Close attention to detail
• Excellent Microsoft office, especially Excel and PowerPoint skills
