EMEA Financial Controller

Overall purpose of the role: Directly reporting to CFO EMEA, the job holder carries out second level financial control over Accounting (general ledger, consolidation packages local, French and IFRS), and Regulatory reporting for all branches/subsidiaries within the EMEA region (London, Milan, Madrid, Dubai, Frankfurt, Moscow). You will work closely with the various local Finance teams, leveraging on their existing control set-up. Main responsibilities: • Draw up a summary of accounting processes and first level controls throughout EMEA and assess their soundness. Perform periodical checks on data reported by branches/subsidiaries (reasonableness checks, sample testing, analytical reviews...) and propose remedial actions if and when necessary. • Participate in any cross functional project impacting accounting data quality and contribute to the permanent control set up in EMEA. • Be a contact person for internal and external financial auditors. • Liaise with Paris Finance "Révision" team to share knowledge and best practices on a regular basis. Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience
• Excellent knowledge of financial audit techniques as well as Banking regulations. • Strong financial/accounting background. • Autonomy, able to manage projects with minimal supervision. • In depth understanding of CIB products, including both Financing and Global Markets. • Ability to produce detailed and concise analyses. • Professional English, both written and spoken. A second European language would be an advantage. • Good communication skills, able to build good professional relationships with colleagues in other locations/ from other cultures.
