Divisional Data Lead, Infrastructure and Energy Group, EMEA

We are looking to make a critical hire into our Infrastructure and Energy division, which sits in Macquarie Capital. You will join as the Divisional Data Lead to drive implementation of a new and ambitious data and systems strategy. In this role, you will have truly global impact being based in London, reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics in Sydney, working closely with the COO based in New York, collaborating with global teams and delivering initiatives for a global business.
You will assist in the roll out of frameworks and data initiatives across Macquarie Capital, with an initial focus on an ambitious strategic systems implementation program.
You will lead the implementation of all data focused initiatives within our Infrastructure and Energy division and lead data streams within larger programmes of work that encompass modernising and systemising the division. You will play a key part in establishing and sustaining data governance practice across replacement of portfolio and asset management systems, define reporting and analytics requirements and making them come to life through our data hub, and drive delivery of the divisional data strategy. This would include being a trusted advisor and being able to deliver across data projects and initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will know how to collect and analyse system/data/reporting requirements and implement solutions. You'll have broad hands-on experience across Data Migrations, Data Lakes/Data Hubs, Data Modelling, Data Architecture, BI, or Data Quality Management and Data Governance is also required. Ideally, you are familiar with data governance, BI and data visualization techniques using relevant tools (e.g. Cloudera, PowerBI, Alteryx, Informatica IDQ, Collibra)
Ultimately, you will report to the Head of Data & Analytics assist the division's delivery of data deliverables for key systems replacements and modernisation of Portfolio and Asset Management systems, implement data quality management and assist in remediation of data quality issues across corporate tools. You will also develop new solutions, based on business requirements, to ensure cross-operational data is stored effectively, consistently, and able to provide timely and accurate reporting to allow the business to make decisions based on data.
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to communicate technical ideas with both technical and senior business stakeholders and a proven record as a Data Governance Lead, Data Lead, Lead Business Analyst on data projects, business-facing Data Architect or similar role in an Investment Bank, Private Equity or Asset Management business. You will demonstrate industry-leading data management expertise, including Bi, Analytics, Data Governance, Data quality, and data migration in a large and complex environment. This position will require you to collaborate across the business and apply analytical and problem-solving skills. About Macquarie Capital
