As Director of Risk and Compliance you will play a crucial role in the continued success of NS&I. You will lead the management of our legal and regulatory compliance as both a financial services organisation and a government body.

About the role
The Director of Risk and Compliance oversees and manages financial crime, legal, regulatory and risk issues. You will devise, implement and assure the range of risk management, compliance and assurance strategies appropriate to deliver NS&I’s business plans.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive this post offers extensive professional challenge and stimulation in balancing the requirements of regulators, customers and stakeholders. Although NS&I is not FCA regulated it does follow a shadow regime of regulation.
You will act as a member of NS&I’s executive management team and board, contributing positively across the full range of decisions necessary to manage the business.

The Person
For this critically important post we require an individual with sound experience of governance and regulatory requirements, absolute integrity and a solid focus on internal and external customers. The ability to place risk management, compliance and assurance in a commercial, financial services-oriented context is essential. Clear thinking at a strategic level is vital, as well as an ability to influence thinking across the entire business.
The role is equivalent to Senior Manager Function 3 and 4 under the Financial Conduct Authority Senior Manager regime.
