The firm have an established advisory business within the social infrastructure sector. Key engagements arise in:

  • Retained treasury advisor for mid to large sized social landlords - all aspects of debt and treasury management, treasury reporting
  • M&A advisory engagements within the sector
  • Balance sheet optimization, capacity reviews and advice on debt restructuring
  • DCM advisory (or arranging) - retail bond market focus, as well as PPs
  • Credit rating support and process management
  • IR and Inflation hedging - for new transactions, or restructuring of existing positions
  • Valuations and hedge accounting input
  • Non-social infrastructure DCM - retail bond market issuance and PPs

Mission

  • For every transaction to have independent input on debt, derivatives and financial risk management
  • To be the go-to advisor for the identified social housing entities and targeted issuers within the sub-sectors.
  • To penetrate existing relationships with wider cross selling of other practice areas and build a pipeline of ongoing repeat business
  • To build the firm's brand as the best in class advisor for all aspects of debt and risk management
  • Specific focus on capital markets issuance and the firm's market position for this type of engagement
  • To continuously improve the service delivery and client engagement process.

Exciting opportunity for a Director and Head of Social Infrastructure Advisory with a growing, boutique financial risk consultancy in London

Overview Description

  • Leading a team of [6] London based consultants.
  • Team are responsible for all social infrastructure and DCM engagements for the firm; including social housing, charities, care and education.
  • Develop business strategy and business development focus to grow the fee income and profitability from this sector at compound annual growth rate of +20%.
  • Reports to the Group CEO and will be part of the Sector Head management group.

Role responsibilities

  • Lead the team in the delivery of the growth strategy
  • Design, and execute, the business development plan and growth strategy for the firm for the sector
  • Oversee the engagements being delivered by the team and ensure the firm's client service standards are being achieved
  • Ensure compliance aspects of all engagements are met
  • Relationship building with existing and new clients to drive the value proposition of the firm
  • Co-ordinate activity for all work in the sector- including pitch documentation and review of fee proposals
  • Manage relationships and ensure contact with intermediaries and other advisors (business introducers)
  • Evaluate all new business opportunities in the sector (and beyond)
  • WIP management and monthly overview of matter income
  • Produce sector activity reports for internal management reporting purposes
  • Be a central point of contact internally for all activity in this sector

Profile

Exciting opportunity for a Director and Head of Social Infrastructure Advisory with a growing, boutique financial risk consultancy in London

The Candidate

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in derivatives - either within a banking or consulting environment
  • Have a natural drive and passion for growth and focus on business development
  • Management and leadership experience to manage a team of ambitious, intellectual individuals
  • A focus on detail and quality of service delivery
  • A good knowledge of the debt capital markets and the key issues around risk management for IR and Inflation
  • Experience of the social housing sector would be an advantage but not essential
  • Entrepreneurial focus and vision for growth
