Exciting Director Data & Analytics Practice - Financial Services opportunity with a leading provider of custom research, enterprise marketing, and data analytics. Based in London.
The successful person will help build and grow a new team to focus on providing complex data services and data engineering solutions to bank and asset management clients in the UK & US..
To lead and grow our client's Data Analytics Practice through engagement delivery, which include business requirement analysis, designing solution architecture, target operating model design, execution management, building partner ecosystem and business development focusing on key data analytics and automation offerings for financial services and research organization. Working closely with other practice heads to develop new offerings in data and analytics.
Technical skills required:
* Large scale data analytics programme delivery and management - Agile, DevOps, Waterfall
* Data architecture, data lineage, data quality and data governance
* Integration architecture, Process Automation, Business Process Management and Digital Platforms (various baking systems and workflows), SDLC
* Experience of overseeing data management and engineering based on SQL, SSIS, Talend, Alteryx, Python, Scala, Spark, Databricks etc.
* Solution architecture (Business, Functional, Technical)
* Familiarity/expertise in robotic process automation and advanced analytics/AI-ML/NLP
* Hands-on experience in one or more programming languages and data science tools- Python, R, SAS, Spark, Java, C++, Scala, JavaScripts, Knime, Tableau, AzureML, Power BI, Qlikview, D3 etc.
* Experience on one or more cloud technologies - AWS, Azure, GCP
* Familiarity with various relational/NoSQL databases and modern Data Lakes and technologies- Hadoop, Redshift, Snowflake, ADF, BigQuery, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server etc.
* Understanding of online/ digital marketing, handling of click-stream data is a plus
* Interest and awareness in emerging technologies, FinTech, RegTech etc.
Profile
Exciting Director Data & Analytics Practice - Financial Services opportunity with a leading provider of custom research, enterprise marketing, and data analytics. Based in London.
The successful person will help build and grow a new team to focus on providing complex data services and data engineering solutions to bank and asset management clients in the UK & US.
The candidate:
* 14+ years of successful track record and deep experience in financial products, technology and data, gained through time spent in top tier consultancies, software vendors and/or leading financial institutes
* Prior experience in market facing/pre-sales/consulting roles with hands-on solution/prototype design, development and execution along with recommending solutions best practices, consultative sales, effort estimations, responding to RFI/RPFs, writing/reviewing proposals with Data and Analytics services
* Familiarity with capital markets ecosystem (sell side, buy side, credit risk, non-financial risk, digital banking, service providers, and vendors). Multiple domain experience will be valuable
* Knowledge of regulations - especially GDPR, BCBS239, CCAR, IFRS, MIFID II and FRTB. SFTR, EMIR, Dodd Frank, CSDR is a big plus
* Prior experience in working in fast-paced consulting environment, ability/flexible to support clients in multiple geographies is a plus
* Prior experience in setting up data analytics/data science teams/practice at scale is a plus
* Critical thinking, strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, analytical acumen, creativity, and a proven work ethic; entrepreneurial mind-set
