Â Business UnitÂ Overview:
TheÂ AladdinÂ Product Engineering (APG)Â Post Trade and Accounting team is responsible for design, development and support ofÂ software used by BlackRock and BlackRock Solution clients for post-tradeÂ workflows. TheÂ Regulatory TechnologyÂ teamâ€™s responsibilities include development of Aladdin's regulatory reporting, surveillance, and core compliance capabilities. Â We are a global team withÂ developersÂ based in New York, London, Budapest, and Gurgaon.Â
The Regulatory Technology (RegTech)Â team is responsible for the developmentÂ and expansionÂ of the platforms that serve our Regulatory Operations and L&C functions. We are building new best in class products in the Regulatory Reporting and Regulatory Surveillance area to deliver on BlackRockâ€™s complex regulatory commitments, as well as creating solutions for our BRS clients. We are also responsible for the build out of complex calculators to handle the computation of transaction costs and capital adequacy risk scores. Some of the key regulations covered by RegTech includes : MiFID, Form ADV, SFTR, EMIR, MAR, Solvency II, RBC reporting etc.. WeÂ leverageÂ manyÂ open source technologies for building distributed, resilientÂ and highly scalable systems.Â
Â Role Overview
Â â€" EMEA Head of Regulatory Technology
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Collaborate with Head of Regulatory Operations, EMEA L&C, Aladdin Business team leads and other key leaders to determine strategic regulatory objectives and priorities.
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Represent RegTech and APG in various regulatory executive forums and Steering committees across the EMEA Region.
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Develop strong trusted advisory relationships with key partners.
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Maintain overall accountability for implementing the roadmap of initiatives in the EMEA region.
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Coordinating and facilitating regulatory implementations with Engineers and Process Owners
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Foster strong relationships with your team and clients based on a culture of collaboration and service
Â You have:
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 10+ years of experience in the financial services with a focus on managing large projects or regulatory implementations
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 5+ years of engaging with senior and exec leaders.
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Strong executive presence, ability to influence others and drive results
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â High levels of problem solving and prioritization skills, initiative, and intellectual curiosity
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Candidate must have passion for, and comfort with, working in a high pressure and fast pace environment.
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Good knowledge of data analysis skills using SQL
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Strong organizational skills and demonstrate project management experience.
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Excellent relationship management, team leadership, influencing skills
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Bachelorâ€™s degree is required, preferably in Business or Computer Science field.
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle/Product Development Lifecycle
Â Nice toÂ have:
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Familiarity with regulations such as MiFID, SFTR, EMIR, Solvency II and capital stress testing
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience working with compliance, oversight, audit, government relations and legal areas
Â• Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience analyzing the impacts of regulations and translating regulatory requirements into strategic and product features
