Team

The position is for a Technology Manager / Developer (Vice President) who will be part of an Information Technology team supporting the Global Risk Management Technology group based in London.  This position includes management responsibility for the London and India based team members, maintaining a close relationship with senior and C-level Risk Management staff, and performing hands-on design, code review and development across Java, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities are:

  • Managing on-site and off-site technology teams (Business Analysts, Developers, Support staff)
  • Frequent interaction with SVP and C-level business sponsors/partners
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Developing and releasing code into a mission critical environment adhering to best practice procedures
  • Experience using a source control tool such as CVS, Subversion
  • Expert level knowledge working in  UNIX / Linux environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding the benefits of the various programming languages and platforms
  • Understanding and effectively employing different complex database concepts and designs
  • Possesses demonstrated work experience with more than one relational database management system
  • Advanced documentation and modeling skills
  • Relevant knowledge and years of experience within Financial Services Market/Credit Risk Systems
