Title: Data Engineer

Rate: Up to £800 p/d

Duration: 6 Month - Rolling

Location: London - Hybrid

We're partnering with a leading trading firm based in London to find a talentedPython Data Engineer to join their growing technology function. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on greenfield data platform projects, building the pipelines and infrastructure that power buy-side trading and investment decisions at scale.

Our client operates at the cutting edge of the trading world, combining deep market expertise with a modern, cloud-first engineering culture. You'll be working alongside some of the sharpest developers and quants in the industry, in an environment that genuinely invests in its technology stack and its people.

This is a 6-month rolling contract with a very high likelihood of extension — a great opportunity to embed yourself in a high-performing team on a long-term basis.

Skills/Experience

1. Strong hands-on/commercial coding experience inPython
2. Solid experience withSnowflake (data modelling, performance tuning, pipeline integration)
3. Hands-on experience withAzure cloud services
4. Strong experience withSQL
5. Strong experience building and maintainingETL/ELT pipelines
6. Experience withinfinance — trading, investment banking, asset management or similar
7. Strong communication skills, comfortable working closely with traders, quants and other stakeholders
8. A genuine passion for data and technology!
