Data Comprehension Lead

Goodman Masson are working with a client in the Insurance sector who are recruiting for a Data Comprehension Lead to lead the role out and production oversight of the organisation's data comprehension initiative across the business.
Rate: Flexible, IR35 status to be determined
Duration: 6 months initially (2-3 year project)
Location: Hybrid, London office
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Taking ownership of the organisation's new data lineage and virtualisation tool, Solidatus
- Mapping out data across different layers of the organisation
- Setting up an implementation delivery roadmap for Solidatus across all business areas
- Working with SMEs in developing Solidatus models
- Collecting and documenting requirements from a business perspective for underlying models
- Working with the Information & Data Management team to successfully deliver against the department's objectives
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of Solidatus or similar software
- An understanding of both data management and data governance policies and principles
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and build relationships across the organisation
- Ability to analyse large volumes of data quickly and understand how data flows through typical industry practices
- Understanding of the usage of data specific to an Insurance company
