A Credit administrator/operational staff member is required to join a respected London-based international bank's Structured Products division. Duties to include producing reports for various functions and making credit applications / undergoing credit monitoring for LBO Finance, Structured Finance and Real Estate Finance. The ideal candidate will come from a top 3 ratings agency or T1 corporate/investment bank and have strong credit administration and monitoring skills.

Previous experience in the structured finance division of a large international bank is required. This is a temporary role initially for 8 months, subject to extension as of business needs. 

Main functions of the role 

  • Administer certain tracking and reporting aspects associated with the Structured Credit and Securitisation Investments  portfolio i.e., tracking of internal credit monitoring requirements, compliance certificates, reconciliations.
  • Assist producing data / reports for regulatory requests, internal audit, external audit, and others
  • Assist managing the administrative tasks for the  ABCP Conduit program.

Liaison with multiple external and internal key stakeholders is a vital component of the role i.e. LCM, Trade Finance, Treasury, Operations, Legal, Risk Management, as well as other related Front Office teams plus dealers, designated paying agent, external advisors, system data provider and legal counsel.

Daily tasks and responsibilities to include: 

  • Update booking spread sheet and reconcile with reports produced by external Service Providers, generate reports to management and Head Office 
  • Performing periodic reviews and Credit Monitoring, preparing parts of Credit Application, and assisting execution of new transactions
  • Support credit administration by:
  • Assist in preparation of Credit Application and Credit Monitoring
  • Control due dates for Credit Monitoring and responses to Instructions and Conditions
  • Assist producing data / reports for regulatory requests, internal audit, external audit, and others
  • Support preparing ABCP surveillance report for investor and rating agency
  • Support preparing Financials for conduit which will mainly followed by accounting and audit
  • Follow up related regulation including Basel, Volker rule etc and Legal updates to properly manage conduit
  • Support settlement instructions with operation group including swap if necessary
  • Support ECP placement maintaining regular contact with dealers and funding agents
  •  The role is also expected to assist various internal projects such as implementation of a new CRM system, and the discontinuation of LIBOR.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in a middle office role in Banking (large intl banks)
  • Basic knowledge in banking business including LBO Finance, Structured Finance and Real Estate Finance
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Awareness and understanding of European financial market and business
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to work and deliver under pressure and to short deadlines when necessary
  • Experienced in repack structure trust or SPV is also ideal but not required
  • Ideally >1-year experience with ABCP conduit if possible, at major bank in Europe (or / and US) 
  • Although this role is to cover an admin/ operational role, it would also be useful to possess a strong analytical skillset; i.e gained from a rating agency background or previous experience as part of a structuring team at a major bank
