Core C++ Software Engineer

My client is a leading top tier global investment bank. They are looking for an experienced C++ developer to join their dynamic core team responsible for their next generation risk, pricing, and trade management platform. The platform is designed to enable rapid innovation on the desk by offering Developers, Quants and Risk Managers a consistent, cross-asset portfolio of models, frameworks and tools to use in building financial applications.

As an experienced Software Engineer, you will be tasked to help lead a team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way the business is run. Your deep knowledge of design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming will help your team raise their game, meeting your standards, as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements. Your expertise in various technology domains will be counted on to set strategic direction and solve complex and mission critical problems, internally and externally. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
  • Proficiency in C++, including C++ 11
  • Python knowledge is a big plus
  • Experience developing and maintaining distributed and multithreaded software in the Linux/Unix environment
  • At least some exposure to MS Windows-based development
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
