Compliance Conflicts Management Senior Analyst

Our Risk Management Group (RMG) has an exciting new opportunity to join us as a member of the RMG Compliance Conflicts Management team. This function, within Compliance, focuses on the identification, management and escalation of conflicts of interest for the different businesses at Macquarie. You'll have an excellent opportunity to further develop your compliance experience and understanding of a variety of business areas, in a fast paced, innovative and dynamic global team.

In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to take accountability by interacting with senior business stakeholders as well as within Compliance and the wider Risk Management team.

We are looking for candidates with plenty of enthusiasm to learn and grow. Attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills and maturity to handle confidential information and escalate issues are essential to this role.

A knowledge of financial services regulations, laws and products will be an advantage.

Your key areas of responsibility will include:
  • performing transactional conflict checks
  • ensuring pro-active identification and management of conflicts across the group
  • assisting with the escalation of conflicts and relevant issues to Business Compliance, senior management and other relevant staff as appropriate
  • developing and maintaining strong relationships with business deal teams, Business Compliance teams and Control Room
  • providing input into relevant system implementations and ongoing enhancements to ensure data is effectively managed across the deal lifecycle
  • implementing controls to effectively manage conflicts, ensuring deal teams understand the implications for specific transactions, undertaking training where required
  • assisting with the maintenance of policies and procedures to support the functions of the Compliance Conflicts team
  • contributing to the development of the function and the team by identifying ongoing areas of enhancement and driving continuous improvement to the conflicts processes

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
