A well-respected asset management firm with a global investment strategy is looking to add a talent junior compliance analyst to its team. In this role, you will be working directly with the compliance officer in a team of 4 compliance professionals. The day-to-day role is strongly focused on transaction cost analysis, as well as strong data analysis and operational improvements. In addition, you will have to learn and stay up to date with the latest regulations in order to continuously adjust and improve the team's processes and ways of working. This is a great entry-level role for a young professional who is passionate about making a career in compliance and is looking for a firm where he/she can grow and develop. A passion for financial compliance, strong analytical ability, a proactive attitude, a background in (any type of) financial services, and dedication to professional development are all essential. Previous experience in transaction cost analysis and market abuse surveillance systems and software is desirable, but not required. The fund has a strong emphasis on self-development, sponsors training courses, and offers the opportunity to grow into a more senior role in the long-term. Most team members have been with the fund for over 5 years, and love the friendly team environment, and a strong focus on excellence in setting up and running a respectable, compliant, sustainable long-term investment strategy. This permanent role can start asap for the right professional, but the start-date is flexible for the right person and longer notice periods will be considered.

 

TASKS

*Ability to interpret data for compliance purpose to help the team improve its 2 nd line of defense
*Good working knowledge of MS Office applications Outlook and Word and require strong *Excel skills
*Will include the boring daily reporting and compliance checks that go with any compliance role
*Code and develop new rules regarding the compliance monitoring systems, carry out data reconciliations
*Deal with queries and exceptions in accordance with the Pre and Post Trade Compliance *Procedures.
*To add automation and improve the Firms Compliance Monitoring Programme and *Operational Risk Programme in line with regulatory changes
*To analyze and investigate data to enable the Compliance Officer to respond to any compliance queries arising
*To monitor and support development of the operating systems ensuring that data is processed correctly and is handled in a compliant and ethical manner
