Position: Commercial Accountant

Salary: £58,000 - £65,000 + Bonus

Location: London

In this role due to the nature of the rail industry currently you would be working on many business change projects with the CFO along with producing crucial work in leading reform to the accounting structure, as well as contributing to system development, financial reporting and financial governance as the commercial function expands.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform a true business partnering role by providing the necessary financial information, insight and analysis to the Business Development team
  • Lead the work in making any necessary changes to systems to ensure Finance meet the commercial demands from internal and external customers
  • Work in conjunction with the Business Development team to review pricing and charging structures, providing sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to support decision making
  • Lead the work to continuously improve the financial controls and financial governance around new commercial work
  • Work closely with the Finance department to ensure key commercial finance processes (e.g. - revenue reconciliations, revenue reporting & analytics) are followed at period end and year end
  • Work alongside the Business Partnering team to help prepare strategic plans, budgets , forecasts and project plans and support day to day activity where necessary

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
  • Significant experience of previous commercial roles
  • Real Estate/Infrastructure experience is preferable
