The Client Strategy team is responsible for driving profitably and effectiveness of the Equities business and supports the Head of Equities in executing the strategic objectives of the firm. The team is positioned between Trading, Sales and Research.

The Job

The primary responsibility of the Client Strategy role is to support the Sales and Research teams to drive the commerciality of the platform, and to meet regulatory requirements under MiFID II.  The role will be based in London reporting to the EMEA Head of Client Strategy

The role offers good career progression, opportunity to own your initiatives and grow your responsibilities:

  • Ownership of  Analysis of Broker Votes / Feedback, Vote Mapping and Translation, Account Management Meetings and Action Items to maximise profitability
  • Ownership of the Research Agreements lifecycle and reporting thereof.  Roll out of enhanced processes’ following implementation of MIFID II and ability to adapt as regulations develop 
  • Involvement in initiatives to increase wallet share of existing clients and identify new opportunities
  • Ownership of production of Management Monthly Reporting providing regular updates to management on performance around coverage intensity and revenues
  • Liaising with Sales, Research & Management
  • Maintenance and Analysis of Client Data in CRM      
  • Developing signalling tools to identify clients with short term and long term volume/revenue/resource consumption outliers
  • Supporting the head of Client Strategy in the development and execution of strategic initiatives

What we look for:

  • Hard working, passionate and organised
  • Large degree of autonomy in the role, so need to be self-motivated and take accountability
  • +5yrs work experience in a similar role / capital markets and a background in strategy consulting, business development, client management or the front office
  • Proven analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.  Strong Excel data expertise, able to work with large amounts of data
  • Excellent written and oral communication –English a non-negotiable, German/French is a bonus
  • Interaction data system experience: Corpaxe, Dealogic, One Access, Bloomberg, Commcise, Red Deer
  • Understanding of McLagan systems and data
  • Presentation - ability to frame and communicate findings powerfully using graphs and written communication
  • Confidence to build relationships with senior key stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong academics – business or science diploma/degree
