Client Service Specialist – Insurance Focus

 

The Opportunity:

  • This is a newly created role within this high profile and technically astute Client Management team whose performance is critical to the success of the business as a whole
  • Focused on providing support to predominantly Insurance Companies (with some further support to other key institutional clients of a range of size and complexity) this is a career defining opportunity and the role will provide exposure to both clients and consultants by way of email, phone and face-to-face contact as appropriate.
  • The key responsibility of this role is to absorb and manage as much as possible of the client service workload created by the clients and consultants
  • Client Service sits as a key part of the broader client solutions effort, working alongside Client Directors, the Solution Designers and Product Specialists to deliver a first class client experience – i.e. a very smart and technical “audience”
  • The significant levels of exposure within the role will ensure that you get extensive interaction with a broad variety of teams across the organisation, from business development and distribution, through the investment and dealing teams, the operational teams that support them, as well as Legal, Finance and the compliance and risk functions

More specific responsibilities will include (and are not limited to):

  • Project managing the smooth transition of clients to and from my client
  • Project managing the smooth execution of any and all “client change” throughout the life of the mandate. This shall include Salesforce and SharePoint management of side letters and instructions
  • Management of BAU ongoing queries and client service activity
  • Coordinating the delivery of business as usual activity and ad hoc requests from clients, working closely with Client Directors and investment professionals from across the business
  • Being both the face of operations to the client and conversely the clients advocate internally with the operations teams
  • The production and delivery of a range of bespoke reporting to segregated clients where this is not being completed by the reporting team
  • Responsibility for periodic client due diligence reviews
  • Involvement in ad-hoc project work as it occurs, to include process re-engineering and regulatory readiness
  • Attendance to, and participation in, any regular client calls

 

Your Experience:

  • You will have a strong record of academic achievement and be able to demonstrate your passion for the asset management industry by having passed relevant industry qualifications including perhaps the IMC and IOC / IAQ, or, a relevant insurance qualification
  • Previous asset management experience is not necessarily essential if you have proven work experience within the technical insurance sector. Key therefore is your desire to work within the asset management industry within a high profile client support capacity 
  • As you’d expect you must be able to demonstrate superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The key requirement is that you will have a very strong knowledge around the insurance sector having either worked in it historically, or, worked within an investment business where your client involvement is focused on the insurance market
  • In light of this you will be aware around relevant technical regulation such as Solvency II and knowledge of institutional markets, including insurance companies
  • Be confident, credible and capable in meetings and discussions at all levels internally and externally
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and multi task effectively in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrable ability to problem solve to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Demonstrable interest in investment strategies
