Institutional Client Service opportunity with highly successful $15bn AUM Equities boutique.
Our client is seeking a client service professional to join their business management team.
The business management team performs two critical functions: (1) provide ‘best-in-class’ client service to sophisticated institutional clients, and (2) assist in the management of the business.
Our client is seeking a candidate that can demonstrate raw intelligence, some technical expertise and a desire to work in a small, focused company. They are looking for a long-term hire that is prepared to develop their skill-set patiently over time.
The successful candidate will be a graduate with c. 4 - 8 years’ experience in an institutional asset management company in a role such as institutional marketing/client service/client relationship management/performance & attribution / RFP writing/sales.
Progress in the role will be reflected through the allocation of additional responsibility within the boundary of the Firm’s focused expertise and product offering. The candidate will become an expert in their field with exposure to the breadth of their business. The Firm operates a flat structure that embraces and promotes teamwork and accountability.
Deliver monthly client reporting. Help draft and edit monthly commentaries, review and approve client reports, generate excel holding files and other client-specific reporting
Check monthly investment returns. Review, investigate and communicate the consistency of investment returns across clients and investment vehicles
Update client presentation templates. Update PowerPoint based presentation templates on a monthly and quarterly basis
Contribute to the quarterly client letter. Help draft the quarterly client letter that discusses investment returns, portfolio changes, business updates and ad-hoc topical content
Prepare briefing notes and presentations for client meetings
Attend client and prospect meetings, write meeting notes
Manage their Client Relationship Management (“CRM”) system. Update company and personnel details in CRM. Manage and perform periodic audits of the database
Manage the Firm’s client portal including access rights and content
Prepare the quarterly partners’ meeting report. Update asset, return, peer group, client and pipeline data for presentation to the partners
Draft the quarterly and annual investment manager reports for their pooled funds
Respond to client queries by telephone and email
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience of working with complex data sets
Ability to work in a highly structured environment
Experience working with institutional clients

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Familiarity with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®)
