Exciting DLT start up, looking for an experienced CCO with a business development mindset to drive the GTM strategy, collaborate, identify opportunities and expand into other markets.

 

This role will be responsible for commercial results in the UK, and to expand and adapt our capabilities for other markets and opportunities. This role requires a business development mindset, and the ability to think across all aspects influencing commercial results – product, marketing, sales support, sales, client delivery, account management. While all of these functions will not report to the role holder, we expect the role to be at its most successful through a collaborative and team-focussed approach. The role holder should be comfortable working in a startup. We seek problem solvers and people who take initiative, but can do so in a team where we are all working toward a common outcome. High energy, motivated and proactive applicants are especially welcomed!

This role will report directly to the CEO. The role will be UK-based, within a hybrid working model.

DUTIES OF ROLE HOLDER

● Have full P&L responsibility for client revenues and product profitability for the Corporate payment and Individual account products

○ Corporate payments - streamlining incentives, refunds, benefits and financial inclusion payouts

○ Individual accounts - developing web and mobile e-money accounts

● Formulate and execute sales and partnership strategies

○ Execute sales strategies, selling directly to clients

○ Execute partnership strategies, developing white label propositions

● Develop a template sales approach, to enable repetitive sales

● Coordinate client implementation, working with a full-time project manager

● Ensure client satisfaction and secure client testimonials related to benefits

● Liaise with all functions to ensure that a consistent strategy is pursued

● Develop an expansion strategy for other markets and products

● Can build a team

Preferred Experience: 

Experienced in financial services, payment sales or product management.

● Bachelor’s degree - Computer science or related

● Languages: English - fluent

● Skillset - comfortable writing presentations; public speaking

● Soft skills: problem solving mindset. Understands the importance of user experience.  Team player; able to work well in a start-up

● Expected 60% remote work – more time spent at clients than in the office

● Managerial experience in either banking, payments, or other financial services would be a bonus

● Exceptional team management skills

● Excellent verbal and written communication

● Ability to delegate efficiently

● Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future
