Our client is a world-leading online trading and investments provider, offering a fun, challenging and dynamic environment to work in. As a strong technical qualified accountant you will add value through ensuring their financial reports are IFRS compliant whilst leading a team of 2 group reporting accountants.

Role Responsibilities:

1.Assessment and implementation of new accounting standards and changes to financial reporting requirements
2. Management of group accounting policies, and the application of those policies to new financial arrangements
3. Shape and influence the requirements for new business ventures or ad hoc matters impacting the business that have financial reporting implications
4. Reviewing accounting estimates and judgements relevant to group financial reporting
5. Involvement in the annual assessment of the group’s ability to operate as a going concern for the foreseeable future and production of a longer term viability assessment
6. Preparation of Group Finance reports to the Audit Committee
7. Management of the preparations of group entities financial statements, excluding entities within the Business Financial Control function
8. Involvement in the Group consolidation process and the implementation of new consolidation reporting tool (Hyperion Financial Management)
9. Financial control of the Holdings plc including accounting for share based payment arrangements and dividend payments
10. Capital and reserve management of group entities to support the groups dividend policy
11. Interaction with the group’s external auditors and other external advisors and service providers
12. Communication with a number of other departments across the business and international business Financial Controllers


Person Specification:

Ability / Expertise

1. Experience of drafting technical accounting papers and presenting to senior business stakeholders (IFRS)
2. Experience of working in, or auditing, listed businesses

- ACA qualified (or equivalent)
- 5+ years PQE
