Job Description:


Fitch Ratings' newly created Model Development Team is looking for a developer at the Associate Director level to help develop and enhance models used in Fitch's rating analysis, focusing primarily on structured finance and covered bond sectors.


In this position, you will have the opportunity to team up with other talented specialists to design, implement, test and document various models including default and cash flow models. Throughout these projects, you will be able to gain valuable credit modelling experience, a good understanding of credit rating methodology as well as model governance framework and the regulatory environment.


Position Requirements:

  • Extensive and solid quantitative and financial modelling experience in C++
  • Experience in Python, R, XML, VBA or database is a plus
  • Ability to solve problems using critical, rational and creative thinking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly convey technical modelling  concepts
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage timelines across multiple projects
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in computer science or other quantitative disciplines
  • Previous exposure to credit rating analysis or credit modelling a plus
