Job Description
Global investment bank seeks an Associate level Structured Finance CMBS Credit Risk Analyst as part of their expanding Secured Lending division.

Primary Responsibilities

This is a multi-faceted role responsible for coverage of Secured Lending ) transactions comprising of loan on loans secured by a variety of asset classes namely commercial real estate, residential mortgages, non-performing loans, middle market loans. The principal responsibilities include evaluation of new transactions and managing a portfolio of existing loans including annual and quarterly reviews. Fulfilment of these responsibilities involves:

? Assessing new transactions. This includes an independent assessment and recommendation on the credit quality of proposed transactions, including their rating and alignment to the Firm?s credit appetite
? Collaborate with origination teams on structuring and documentation for proposed transactions
? Presentation to Credit Senior management and the Firms Credit Committee for discussion and approval of transactions
? Monitoring an existing portfolio of transactions, including periodic reporting of risk profiles, trends, industry developments, concentrations, conducting downside analysis of
? Preparing timely and insightful annual and quarterly reviews, including the assessment of performance against underwritten base case projections and key credit metrics
? Manage and mentor junior team members
? Review of due diligence and involvement in due diligence sessions including asset site visits and review of appraisals/valuations
? Review and verification of compliance certificates, debt covenants, and financial accounts
? Being the first point of call regarding credit-related matters for your portfolio and responding in a timely manner to ad-hoc requests relating to your portfolio
? Ensuring adherence to credit and other relevant internal policies and practices
? Working with risk stakeholders in the US, and within the bounds of OCC regulation

Qualifications
Skills required (essential)

? Undergraduate degree or equivalent
? Experience in commercial real estate lending or Warehouse lending including loans on residential mortgages, non-performing loans, corporate loans
? Have a strong knowledge of transaction structures, facility documentation, and the lending process
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to quickly establish credibility with Credit senior management and senior deal team executives
? Demonstrable track record of working under pressure and managing multiple projects with limited supervision
? Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts with a sound ability to analyse cash flows on a transaction
? Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environment
? Strong credit, analytical, and modelling skills (particularly with Excel)
? The ideal candidate would have a background in risk management, investment banking, asset management / servicing industry, PE, advisory in the Real Estate space or rating agency experience in securitization
