Attribution Search is targeting a highly motivated and engaging Business Manager for the COO Office of a multi start hedge fund.

The fund is in a period of significant growth following fund launches and recent new inflows of >$1bn.  Appetite for further scale remains underpinning the need to hire for this seat.

The role will cover a diverse nature of duties to support further growth for the business, help the investment team realise their plans and ensuring efficiencies across the business side both for its London and Global offices.

Duties will include but not limited to;

  • Working with the Investment Team and Portfolio Managers to support Fund launches, Trading in new asset classes and deployment of new portfolio managers
  • Access to new markets and regions
  • Analysing trading agreements and ISDA docs
  • Coordination and project managing the implementation of new technologies, new trading platforms, order management systems, data providers, working closely with the CTO and Head of Dev
  • Support the impact of major regulations with a particular focus on LIBOR transitions
  • Working with GC on the review and oversight of all major contracts, company registrations and licences
  • Working with HR on Employment agreement/translation and understanding of employment law across multiple regions
  • Office lease, contract and negotiation
  • IT hardware/Telephony set up and management
  • Business Continuity planning

The right candidate for this role will have accelerated through their career with excellent business knowledge.  Sound understanding of trading, operations, compliance and employee engagement and essentially adopt the necessarily skills to run a hedge fund business efficiently and multiple projects from conception to completion.

Given the smaller, more nimble set up of a hedge fund the COO is not expecting to hire a candidate who has covered all of the above.  That said, expectation of running projects in at least two functional areas on the buy or sell is desired, twinned with strong asset class knowledge and excellent stakeholder management.
