PMG resource management
PMG have a pool of 13 Analysts and Associates who are allocated across the[LS1] team to new deals as they emerge, the Business Manager will be responsible for this resource allocation and reporting to senior members of the team.
Coordinate and oversee Analyst / Associate recruitment
Working closely with HR and recruitment the Business Manager will be responsible for the analyst recruitment and rotation program and help drive PMG diversity initiatives[LS2] .
Deal Cloud data management
DealCloud is the core system within PMG for tracking deals and resource allocation, the Business Manager will help manage the system by ensuring data is kept up to date and assist with design and configure management reporting as required.
PMIC Agenda management / minute taking / action tracking
PMIC is a weekly governance committee meeting where deal teams present new deals for committee approval the Business Manager will be responsible for managing the agenda, minute taking and monitoring actions from the meeting.
PMG risk champion / control framework
As Risk Champion the Business Manager will be responsible for monitoring outstanding audit findings, risk event actions, and escalating any issues to PMG chief of staff. This role will also act as the central point of contact for stakeholders such as Compliance and Audit.
Budget / business planning
The Business Manager will support the USS Finance team and help co-ordoinate PMG’s business planning and budgeting. Working closely with the Finance team the Business Manager will help review 3rd party fees, tracking strategic targets and enhance visibility of the costs across private markets..
PMG cost efficiencies
Proactively drive cost efficiencies across PMG, including working with closely with Procurement to review advisory fees paid to 3rd parties and develop MI reporting to support decision making on deal expenses. Review administration support across PMG with a view to identifying potential efficiencies
Broader PMG Responsibilities[LS3] :
Proactively participate in other aspects of the PMG supporting the chief of staff, such as assisting on key strategic projects, suggesting and implementing efficiencies or changes in process, reporting, procedures or structure where necessary; as well as being a point of contact for support and control teams within USS for private markets.
