IT Business Data Analyst (Front Office Market Risk) required by large Investment Bank, based in London, within the Front Office Market Risk IT area undertaking systems analysis in support program deliveries (understanding the calculation requirements and driving data on-boarding in partnership with IT delivery teams across the organisation.

You will have recent and extensive Investment Banking experience as a Business Data Analyst coupled with:

• Data analysis and Data Sourcing experience including skills in Python, SQL and Excel.
• Ideally using Python exclusively for any scripting / automation tasks as well as large scale data analysis
• Experience working in Front Office Risk Management Systems and / or Market Risk
• Expertise in the sourcing and integration of Reference Data into Risk Calculations
• Reference data sourcing and usage within an Investment Bank
• Agile development practices - Scrum, Jira
• Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills - fluent written and spoken English
• Flexible and adaptable, being willing to move focus between components and projects easily

The main responsibilities of this role will include hands on data analysis, working closely with development teams and Quant Strats, responsible for data flows from source through to successful use in calculations on the platform. Defining and measuring data quality, conducting root cause analysis into issues (technical and business process) and agreeing remediation plans - including the creation of Python scripts for data quality reporting.
