Information Technology team seeks a business analyst responsible for driving the effective use of technology for the reporting, compliance and operations functions of the companies Tax Team located in London, United Kingdom. UK Tax team is at a pivotal, transformational moment in its evolution and the position will be central to the successful transition from a manual Excel based world into a world were Tax is deploying the most current automation tools. Business Analysts will enable solutions that will optimize the tax function to improve data quality, increase automation, reduce risk, and deliver on the strategic plan of tax department.

Position Overview: The Information Technology team seeks a business analyst responsible for driving the effective use of technology for the reporting, compliance and operations functions of the companies Tax Team located in London, United Kingdom. 

The UK Tax team is at a pivotal, transformational moment in its evolution and the position will be central to the successful transition from a manual Excel based world into a world were Tax is deploying the most current automation tools.

The Business Analysts will enable solutions that will optimize the tax function to improve data quality, increase automation, reduce risk, and deliver on the strategic plan of the tax department. 

Key to the position are the abilities to understand the tax process requirements, capture those needs, define data dependencies and flows, manage projects, timeline and risks, and consider the impact of regional requirements to global tax technology solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with finance, accounting, IT, and other business partners to drive the implementation of tax software, establish and automate processes.
  • Coordinate Tax Department’s technology requirements
  • Create business requirements documents, including an overall data strategy and roadmap for Tax UK
  • Prepare evaluations of various technology solutions (RPA, Alteryx, etc.) including building business cases for budgeting
  • Manager multiple external vendors that support the UK Tax processes
  • Monitor and stay up to date on emerging tax technology trends and continually re-evaluate and revise the tax technology strategy to ensure optimal results.

Experience Requirements

  • B.S. / B.A. with 5+ years of IT and Tax experience
  • Project management leading multiple projects at the same time
  • Broad-based knowledge of United Kingdom tax lifecycle (e.g. planning, provision, compliance, and audit).
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technology teams and business areas
  • Experience with Salesforce, RPA, Alteryx, and Microsoft’s suite of products
  • Experience with implementing tax technology solutions, including all aspects of the technology design, development, and implementation lifecycle, and working with cross-functional implementation teams to successfully integrate applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Independent and self-motivated.
