Business Analyst - Supervisory Practices, Investment Platform

London or 280 Congress, Boston

Our global investment platform is comprised of over 475 investment professionals across four investment functions (Investment Boutiques, Research, Science and Strategy) in six locations (Boston, Hong Kong, London, Radnor, Singapore and Tokyo).  The team collectively manages approximately $1 trillion in assets across the capital structure.

This role represents an opportunity to be a part of a group residing at the intersection of the investment functions, acting as a strategic engine powering a robust, dynamic, global and scalable investment platform. The group is building shared centers of excellence to benefit all investment groups, drive integration across the platform, take a long term view, and ensure the platform is flexible and adaptable to changing client needs and market conditions.

In this new role, the Business Analyst - Supervisory Practices will be responsible for ensuring that Wellington has a world-class first line supervision program that meets the evolving needs of the firm now and in the future.  The analyst will work closely with the Director of Supervisory Practices on projects and initiatives to benefit our investment platform, with a particular focus on empowering line management to supervise investors in a manner which is consistent, risk-based, and designed to meet our fiduciary and regulatory obligations globally. The Business Analyst will report to the Director of Supervisory Practices, Investment Platform.

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners (Compliance, IT, risk management) and with the investment platform leadership and business management team to design and implement supervisory reporting and tools for use by investment line management
• Design, implement and maintain a robust supervision management platform for the Investment Platform
• Lead projects to close supervisory gaps as identified in the Supervisory Assessment for each investment group
• Review the existing compliance supervision program 
• Support fiduciary and regulatory oversight of investors by leveraging the tools noted previously in regular monitoring activities
• Participate in cross-functional working groups and projects where input from Supervisory Practices is needed

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience, preferably in a consulting, project management or business management role. An undergraduate degree is required, and an MBA degree or relevant certifications is a plus.  Prior experience in the asset management industry is a plus.
