Business Analyst – Hedge Fund – 60-75k base + 50-100% bonus

A market leading, boutique hedge fund, are looking to make a newly created project management hire. The firm are confident of growing assets to $10bn AUM over the next 2-3yrs and as a result, they are investing a lot of money in to its infrastructure/set-up.
We are looking for a project manager from a client services/relationship manager background, rather than the individual being a tech person themselves. The hire will guide, instruct and lead tech/software/quant teams to implement solutions. The core objective of the role is to develop and enhance the operational infrastructure to tier one hedge fund status. The hire will be responsible for leading and delivering successful projects geared towards future-proofing the operating model for scale. The hire will be tasked with allowing the internal infrastructure/processes to cope with a much larger AUM, trading volumes and a more quantitative style of trading. This extends to shorter-term examples such as a radically enhanced stock loan process, transferring FX execution to an algorithmic based approach, automation of many operational/MO tasks, implementation of a HR system etc. The role has a dual reporting line in to the Head Trader + CEO.
We require strong graduates with 2-5yrs relevant experience. Candidates could come from a client services background, currently working for a technology software provider or platform - the hire must have experience working for/with buy-side firms in this capacity. However, we would be very keen to see current buy-side business analyst’s that have strong experience working on system implementations/large change management projects. You should have good knowledge/experience of equities, swaps, FX and futures. Strong relationship management skills are key.
The role will most likely pay up to a 75k base salary (there is flexibility) and the potential for a 100% bonus should the hire achieve, excel and go beyond his/her year one targets.
