An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Value Stream as a Business Analyst within the Digital Communications Lab. Our work contributes to the Group's sustainability agenda, through the provision of digital and paper free customer communications, including email, SMS and push notifications, saving the Bank over £50 million over the next 3 years! Enabling us to be a paperless first organisation by 2024!

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Value Stream as a Business Analyst within the Digital Communications Lab. Our work contributes to the Group's sustainability agenda, through the provision of digital and paper free customer communications, including email, SMS and push notifications, saving the Bank over £50 million over the next 3 years! Enabling us to be a paperless first organisation by 2024!

The Business Analyst is responsible for shaping initiatives that solve customer problems to transform our communications experience.

Key to this are: identifying business needs, analyzing requirements, supporting testing and implementation of agreed solutions

So what are we looking for in you?

  • Superb communicator, dynamic and adaptable with the ability to use & learn new skills
  • Ability to lead and drive the shaping of new initiatives forward in a requirement led way
  • Ability to facilitate efficient and effective decision making ensuring all parties feel understood and satisfied
  • Ability to validate designs and solutions
  • Have a service design mentality, ensuring a balanced and cohesive outcome encompassing user experience design, operation design and solution design, including the identification and resolution of design decisions



What we'd like to see on your CV

  • Understanding of business analysis and business architecture methodologies particularly analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Exposure to skills from multiple subject areas such as Operating Model, Process Design, Digital and Technology
  • Good understanding of process frameworks, along with techniques to analyse and improve (e.g. Lean)
  • Develop, define & document 'As Is' & 'To Be' processes and identify requirements
  • Familiarity with tools & techniques for increased automated testing and construction of supporting Acceptance Criteria



Here's where you'll make a difference

  • Understand business problems, critically evaluating of business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view. Identifying underlying business needs to be addressed and challenge existing practices. Closing down the debate on requirements scope quickly in order to keep the delivery on track.
  • Validate requirements and proposed solutions with partners and gain approval
  • Facilitate managing the product backlog, working collaboratively with the Product Owners and the delivery teams to ensure consistent understanding of the proposed solution and assist with elaboration, sprint planning activities etc.
  • Provide domain knowledge and analysis capability
  • Support Architectural with proposed solutions are aligned with strategy and the Target Operating Model.
  • Support Feature Team with testing preparation, automation and acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets the identified business need and compliance with Group policies and all regulatory and statutory requirements.
