You will be involved in a number of services, including acquisition of trade data, controls, operational recovery of data and partial normalisation of data.

A global investment bank is looking for a Functional Business Analyst to join a team responsible for providing a TradeStore (TS) platform for the capture, storage and distribution of the pre and post Global Markets trade data to consumers. You would be responsible for the specific parts of a TradeStore program and will be involved in a number of services, including acquisition of trade data, controls, operational recovery of data, partial normalisation of data and strategic reference data resolution. This is initially a TS orientated role, evolving the TS program into the strategic platform, but it is anticipated to cover all relevant platform activities in the future.

Your Responsibilities

  • You are needed to create functional requirements for the TradeStore onboarding of new trade event sources
  • You would need to ensure functional requirements are accurately documented by liaising with source systems SMEs, developers, PMO governance and TS colleagues team leads during development and testing phases
  • You will collaborate with development teams and provide assistance in functional and system testing
  • You will create professional relationships with the source system SMEs
  • Become the TS SME for the source system, engaging with upstream sources on changes to their processes that impact TS
  • You will be involved in writing and generating queries using xquery
  • Once development is complete, you will be involved in performing data testing for correct build and mapping
  • You will also be involved in tracking outstanding incidents and bugs

Key Requirements

  • Experience is needed in XML or SQL
  • Trade capture source system expertise is necessary
  • You will need experience in creating functional specifications
  • You will need several years of business analyst experience
  • Cross asset class product knowledge would be a bonus
  • Familiarity with xquery would be a bonus
