The role is a job share. We are looking for 2-3 days per week.

Operational Responsibilities:
  • To assist the Head of Broker Relationships in managing the research contract requirements including negotiations and preparation of contracts
  • To assist in managing the quarterly research review process including pre-preparation, assistance for fund managers attendance at team meetings and output to counterparties
  • To deputise for the Head of Broker Relationships
  • Respond to questions from investment professionals
  • Assist in developing the fixed income processes relating to research including processing interaction data
  • To request and collect data from the sell side counterparties and perform analysis as requested
  • Maintain Procedures and Policy relating to the research. Individuals will be required to produce and maintain how to guides for the core function of their role
  • Manage trial periods
  • Manage entitlement requests
  • Understand the operational challenges faced within Front Office and work with senior management to improve key controls, ensuring risks are understood and processes are appropriately implemented
  • Close liaison with Compliance and Risk and FCC, particularly around research and inducements, corporate access and gifts and hospitality
  • Ad hoc support for Head of Broker Relationships

Requirements and Experience:
  • Good knowledge of the MIFID II rules relating to research
  • Experienced in broker relations activities and research procurement
  • An understanding of investment products and the asset management industry
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to liaise effectively with personnel at all levels
  • Strong analytical background
  • PC literate. Good Excel skills
  • Numerate, logical and analytical approach
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
