In this role, you will assume responsibilities for Balance Sheet & Statistical Reporting and a broad range of finance areas including financial control, reporting, planning & analysis, and compliance aligned to key regulated entities in the Commodities & Global Markets business.
A key aspect will be management and review of Balance Sheet and Statistical Reporting deliverables due to external regulators, as well as compliance with Macquarie Regulatory Return Policy. You will be responsible for ensuring successful transitions of new regulatory returns to business-as-usual processes and your role will involve identifying and implementing opportunities for automation, process improvement and efficiencies.
Your entity management finance responsibilities will involve performing periodic balance sheet and P&L analytical reviews, new product and project review, and support to the EMEA Regional Controller for Board and tax accounts reporting. You will also partner closely with the Legal Entity Control Team based in Jacksonville on the legal entity management activities including the monitoring of legal entity solvency, proposing dividends, and capital management.
You'll help collate detailed forecasts, along with various ad-hoc requests and projects, with a focus on process improvement and automation.
You will be required to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across all divisions and, as such, you will have excellent communication and relationship building skills. In addition, you will have advanced Excel skills, with at least 4 years' post qualification experience.
You will be qualified as a Chartered Accountant and ideally have experience using PeopleSoft/Fusion GL, Microstrategy, PowerBi and Alteryx software systems.
You are a confident and driven individual with a background in accounting, finance or treasury, and will also have a strong interest in investment products and a desire to build a career in financial management. Your tenacious attitude, organisational skills, and ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders will be the key to your success in this role. About the Financial Management Group
