You will understand our clients' industry and the issues they face, and provide them with relevant advice. The combination of your audit and core assurance skills, industry expertise and on-going investment in this area will allow you to anticipate complex business problems for our clients and recommend appropriate action.

You will be leveraging a core assurance skillset and knowledge of front to back processes and controls at financial institutions in the design and execution of testing, and reporting to senior management, including the ability to identify recommendations for change and suggest process and control improvements.

Role description

We are expanding our advisory group and we are seeking focused, aspirational and collaborative professionals, to support our growth in an exciting, dynamic and rapidly expanding business.

Location

You will be based in a Deloitte London office, however there will be a requirement for travel (possibly international), depending on the location of our clients. We generally expect full mobility for our roles but we make such arrangements respectfully.

Hours

This is a permanent role and we do accommodate agile ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements if that allows for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. Responsibilities

As a Manager within Banking and Capital Markets, you will have the opportunity to help us to continue to build a business focused on serving the world's leading Financial Institutions with their most complex business challenges.

Strong communication and client management skills are key elements to this role as you will be advising senior personnel on a day to day basis, as well as developing a team. As an integral member of the group and of the firm you will provide support both in delivery and business development initiatives.

We are focused on ensuring that your client portfolio meets your experience, personality and career aspirations and this in turn enables you to deliver the highest possible standard of work and the flexibility in creating a career path that matches your expectations.

The successful candidate will have:

  • an Accountancy qualification (ACA or international equivalent);
  • a strong academic background – degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or           other similar quantitative subjects;
  • excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills;
  • fluent in Dutch (or Afrikaans);
  • audit experience in a Financial Services environment and a knowledge of                   financial products;
  • an enquiring / analytical mind-set;
  • a confident nature and ability to engage at all levels;
  • a collaborative approach and a good team player;
  • intermediate-Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Word and                   PowerPoint.
