Associate, Private Credit- Infrastructure Debt Investments
Macquarie Asset Management - Private Credit team, invests in infrastructure debt assets on behalf of Macquarie's institutional client base and is a leader in the asset class. This team combines the best of Macquarie's deep infrastructure debt experience with a flexible and highly dynamic approach to investing for our clients and growing opportunities for the business. The Private Credit team also invests in other asset classes such as Commercial Ground Leases and Fund Capital finance to which you will have exposure.
You will get to work within the London team as an Associate and assist with the assessment and execution of new investment opportunities and the management of existing portfolio assets.
Your responsibilities will require you to:
- undertake and review due diligence on potential investments
- build, review and run sensitivities on financial models
- assess and comment on commercial contracts
- assist with all aspects of investment analysis
- deal with internal queries on a day-to-day basis
- assess the appropriate debt level and debt structure for a potential acquisition
- support with the negotiation of terms sheets and documentation of facility agreements
- have responsibility for contributing to investment papers and to responses in regards to client and Investment Committee requests
- have responsibility for aspects of ongoing portfolio management
- assist in the assessment of borrower requests.
Your experience in project finance, infrastructure, structured lending or similar, as well as financial modelling skills will be vital in this role.
Your credit research and analysis experience will be used when writing investment reports and making presentations for senior management and investment committees. In addition, you will utilise your thorough understanding of financial statements, corporate finance and/or loan documentation.
You will have effective interpersonal skills, the ability to develop relationships across various business stakeholders, borrowers and their advisors and with institutional investor clients. As a highly motivated and proactive individual, you will be able to execute critical work streams efficiently. You will have the ability to work autonomously, deliver results within deadlines and have strong attention to detail. Your sound business judgment, pragmatic and creative approach to problem solving is crucial in this role.
