Associate Director, Framework & Policy Financial Crime Risk
This is an outstanding opportunity to join our global Financial Crime Risk team and lead the Financial Crime Risk Framework and Policy stream, whilst being supported by a dynamic, high performing team.
You will be responsible for Macquarie's Global Financial Crime Risk policies and standards, which includes the drafting and communication of Financial Crime Risk related policies and standards, the governance of regular Financial Crime Risk policy and standard review and approval, and the need to determine clear principles and oversight to measure the effectiveness of Financial Crime Risk related policies and standards.
You will play a role in actively engaging in regulatory change in Australia and other key jurisdictions in which Macquarie operates in partnership with regional Financial Crime Risk teams, and ensure Macquarie is well placed to respond to changes in regulations and laws.
Your work will require significant interaction with global stakeholders including Financial Crime Risk advisory teams and other internal stakeholders.
You will have a strong understanding and experience in Anti-money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing, Anti-Bribery & Corruption and Economic Sanctions legislation and regulation in Australia and offshore, as well as an understanding of international best practice related to financial crime risk management. You will also bring experience in policy management and governance. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and excellent written communication skills are a must to deliver on this mandate. The ability to design and drive pragmatic solutions, and to execute on a change mandate, are also key requirements for this role.
The Financial Crime Risk division reports to the Chief Risk Officer and supports Macquarie businesses, driving a high and consistent level of compliance and financial crime risk management, consistent with applicable national and international best practices and Macquarie's core principles. Financial Crime Risk is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing, anti-bribery & corruption and economic sanctions requirements in all jurisdictions in which Macquarie operates.
