Leading International Investment Bank seeking an Credit Risk Associate Director to join their London office, looking principally at Leveraged Finance transactions.

Responsible for the oversight and management of credit risk related to an assigned portfolio of European focused corporate and leveraged finance loan and derivatives clients, active in a broad range of industries, including transportation, utilities, telecommunications, services, healthcare and general industrial.

The role includes: The risk assessment of those counterparties; Assigning an indicative Borrower Risk Rating at origination and adjudicating subsequent Borrower Risk Rating reviews; Approving (within delegated authorities) or recommending the credit risk exposure (lending and trading credit) to those entities.


Skills/ Experience Required

  • Extensive credit risk management experience obtained in a financial institution (ideally within a financial conglomerate), rating agency, regulatory and/or other comparable environment.
  • Corporate Credit experience within the following sectors is favourable: Industrials, Pharma, Tech, TMT, Retail, Utilities.
  • Experience Dealing with Leveraged Finance transactions
  • French or German language skills helpful but not essential
  • CFA or Accounting qualifications preferable
  •  Strong negotiation, oral and written communication skills. • Solution orientation. • Ability to handle a significant and diverse workload.
