My client, a European distressed fund, is seeking an ambitious qualified accountant to join a newly created role on the portfolio management side of their investment team.
The firm is currently investing out of its fourth fund and advises over £1.5 billion of assets.
The candidate will provide support for the monitoring of the fund’s corporate debt and equity investments, including general portfolio management, quarterly valuation and reporting, supporting the potential restructuring of investments, as well as supporting ongoing fundraising and existing investor relationship efforts.
This position presents candidates with a unique opportunity to join a growing fund that offers significant exposure to all phases of the investment process. Unlike other portfolio roles, there is the scope for this person to help the deal team on transactions and therefore gain experience in execution and investment management.
The successful candidate will have:
Accounting qualification from the Big4 with experience in financial services audit, is a preference but not a prerequisite.
Outstanding valuations and accounting skills.
Strong intellect with solid quantitative, financial and analytical skills.
