Support Analyst, Elysian

Elysian Systems provide order matching software to Brokers, Exchanges, SEFs and MTFs for OTC cash and derivatives markets to deliver private labelled electronic trading execution services in leading trading venues across the world. The platform supports a wide variety of products in multiple trade execution methods complying with the appropriate regulatory needs of market participants.

The position is a technical, client facing support role, providing support to the users of the Liquid Trading Platform, using technical skills such as SQL Queries, debugging to provide detailed analysis of all issues and reported bugs, before passing analysis over to the development team for bug fixing and coding. The role also requires system configuration and management, including the management of deployments to new customers where necessary.

Tasks And Responsibilities Include

  • Run monthly billing
  • Run and send client builds (either bi-weekly for end of sprint or as requested) – using Jenkins
  • Deploy/Upgrade Liquid for the smaller clients
  • Produce release notes for each end of sprint build
  • AWS environment set up
  • Make build configuration changes and set up new clients Git
  • Collect the client requirements on how they intend to use our system
  • Set up new client environments from market data set up to enabling the required features and help on board traders
  • Basic windows server management (updating firewalls, enabling/disabling windows features)
  • SQL script writing for occasional user reports or to extract details when investigating an issue
  • Test/try to reproduce client reported issues
  • Work with the onsite development and QA teams to address any client queries in a timely manner
  • Investigate and follow up on issues
  • Train users on how to use the software and collect initial requirements for any new changes
  • Use JIRA to maintain the backlog
  • Manage static data (load periods, new instruments, users)
  • Provide on call support for customer releases
  • Maintain Service Desk queue and reassign or escalate items if necessary


Requirements

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Previous experience within a 3rd line support function
  • Bachelor’s Degree within a technology related discipline.
  • Exposure to trading is beneficial
  • Previous experience with JIRA desired
  • Understanding of FIX API and .Net is beneficial
