Team Profile:
The FIC Support and Production Management Team drive the production integrity of Fixed Income Trading and Sales applications through global ready-for-business certification, application guardianship, real-time system monitoring and turnover & incident management.

The position requires highly technical individuals with a strong cross discipline skill set, and the ability to work and adapt to a dynamic fast-paced environment. Team members are also committed to constant process improvement, and are responsible for delivering measurable results.

This particular role will be focused on production management focused tasks such as user support, bcp, capacity, incident management and other technical tasks.

Role Profile:

  • Ready-for-business checks.

  • Proactive & reactive real-time monitoring of processes, connections & trade flows.

  • Investigation of user queries via, log files and process interaction, e.g. rfq issues, flow breaks, booking issues.

  • Notifying the business unit of system issues or failures and carrying out subsequent incident management and problem management in-line with ITIL best practice.

  • System break/fix and user recovery.

  • Escalating problems to core development and engineering groups in a timely manner.

  • Liaison with the Operations department and Controllers where appropriate.

  • Working closely with regional counterparts to build and leverage tools and standardize monitoring procedures.

  • Building tooling to optimize day to day operations


Required Skills:

  • Experience of application / infrastructure support or development in a trading environment

  • Experience supporting, diagnosing, and solving problems in a distributed systems Unix/Linux operating environment

  • Working knowledge of at least two of: PERL, KSH, SQL

  • Problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills / Strong verbal & written skills required to interact with global teams

  • Can successfully operate as a team member as well as independently

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience working with Fixed Income businesses and/or instruments, P&L calculation and Trading Risk

  • Exposure to fix technologies and/or ION technology a plus

  • Working knowledge of SQL databases (Sybase, DB2)
